Manuel and Yeimi

All good things have to come to an end.  Today is a beautiful day for all of us any so many levels of special.  First of all Manuel is Pastor Carlos' son who has worked with us for five years on Mt. Horeb.  We, Mike and I along with so many other people have watched in grow and mature into a godly young man.  One day he came to us and ask could he get a house because he was planning on getting married in 2019 to Yeimi.  We met Yeimi one week up in Las Uvas where Pastor Carlos was preaching.  Manuel and his mother came there to worship with us that Sunday morning when this very godly young lady plopped down next to him.  Later that year I led a Women's Conference for Yeimi's church in Las Uvas on Mt. Horeb.  Yeimi was definitely a strong leader of her ladies, young and old alike, a strong Christian leader. So I was so excited to be able to say yes to Manuel that day and I knew who was going to do it, our home church.
The young people of New Hope did a phenomenal job leading in the dedication.  Ana, a first time to Honduras willingly opened the dedication in prayer. After opening with prayer, Tyler read out of Deuteronomy 6:1-9 about building our home on a firm foundation.  Logan stepped forward to present Manuel and Yeimi their family Bible.  I watched as Yeimi clutched this Bible ever so tightly with her arms wrapped tightly around it as if she had just received gold.  God's Word is so much more than gold or silver or any tangible items that control our lives and keeps us from taking the time to be in God's Word on a daily basis.  This young couple especially our sweet beautiful Yeimi, inside and outside can teach us what true faith and trust in God is as she lives it out daily in her life by being grounded in the Word of God.  Next Scott A shared from God's word out of Psalm 127:1-2.
Pastor Brian opened up the floor for Manuel and Yeimi to share.  Immediately, Yeimi open up heart with gratitude to God first and then to the team for what God had done that week for her and Manuel.  Her words were words of eloquence and filled with the Holy Spirit.  Then Brian asked Manuel did he have any words to share and everyone chuckled because Yeimi pretty much said it all.  The team at this time sang "Victory in Jesus"  which grateful to visiting team member Lynn taught everyone to sing in Spanish. As the team started singing the chorus in Spanish the Hondurans joined in as well.  You absolutely have to be there in understand how beautiful this moment was in Cedeno Monjares Choluteca Honduras.  As the song ended everyone was asked to lay hands on the home as Taylor dedicated this home to the Lord with the help of Meida translating.  What a beautiful way to end a beautiful week.  Lynn shared a very profound statement I would like to share with all who are reading this today,
Today we will leave a little piece of our here in Honduras! The hospitality and gratitude they have shown us is unmeasurable. I’m grateful to have partnered along side of my Honduran brothers and sisters this week. His grace has been sufficient🙏
Manuel and Jamie have a new home. ( backstory..Manuel’s dad, pastor Carlos has worked tirelessly with the NC Baptist on mission building homes for others. We have watched Manuel grow up on the campus here, watching him work hard! They love family, community and most of all love the Lord! I was so rewarding to be able to give back to a family who gives so much to others.)
