Caldera

Saturday morning we were all going to foreign soil.  Mike and I have never been down this road taking us to Caldera which we have passed by for the last ten years.  One of Pastor Carlos' members Reuben went to him with a request from a lady he knows from this community.  She wanted a Christian church out in her community and was willing to donate the land for this to happen.  Pastor Carlos shared with us about this need and we prayed and decided Pastor Matty and his team would be a perfect fit for this week including the community of Caldera.  Off we travel down this road as we picked up Meida, Ronnie and Juan at the start of this journey. The mileage to this lady's home was two and one half miles and we arrived there forty minutes later to what became a little piece of heaven here on this earth.  We traveled where there was not a road but we persevered until we arrived with Pastor Carlos' church there waiting to serve along side of us under some huge trees providing us a lot of shade for VBS.  The church family greeted us once again as they were traveling right behind us on another truck.  They came prepared to serve their church family with a light breakfast, which is called chicharrones.  We gathered around talking about how this day was going to unfold.  Pastor Matty and Pastor Carlos along with Mike and Meida discussed how Pastor Carlos wanted the morning to flow.  They were going to start first with VBS for the children and after lunch go door to door because most of the families may work in the fields on Saturday morning.  Susan got with Meida over last minute details of how the morning was going to unfold before them.
