Mt. Horeb Is Always Busy

The team arrived with the bridge out which meant a little more work for them.  This team was flexible and carried their coolers and lunches down the hill each morning to the Land cruiser  As well as the bridge being out and an oxen and cart they had to maneuver around they observed how hard working our staff at Mt. Horeb is to their God first and then to this ministry.  They work hard daily keeping the grounds beautiful.  Alexia is the animal whisper here.  Titone got bit by a huge spider and she took very good care of him daily until he was healed and well.  The tilapia pond is another work in progress.  They are trying to fill it up without the pipes leaking.  As of today as I am writing this blog I think they have gotten the problem solved.  This is all for our pleasures as North Americans to enjoy this beautiful facility and we could not enjoy it without the hard work of our staff members, Alexia, Naun, Yobani, Rudy, Manuel, Pastor Carlos and Ingrid. We thank God for our staff but they are so much more than staff they are our family.  Pastor Matty made an observation one evening during God moments how he sees the love shared on this campus by Mike and I and I staff.  This is rare to see he shared but so refreshing to know how well loved Mike and I are by our staff.
On Monday morning Bobby shared how we are all friends coming together to serve Christ, encourage one another as a family.  Bobby shared Proverbs 27:17, how we can chipped off the edges so we "can" encourage one another with and our fears and do what God has called us to do here this week, the bigger purpose here is sharing the love of Jesus Christ.  Bobby your words of encouragement this morning was refreshing knowing we are all here to encourage one another whatever our fears may be.  Pastor Matty took it one step further from Bobby's devotional, "How has someone encouraged you this week or instructed you by their actions?"  Pastor Matty said he was going to steal from Susan, how he loves to preach and how amazingly you are at the gift God have you Pastor Matty.  Pastor Matty shared how he was nervous on Sunday getting up there to preach and he looked out several different times and saw how intently his team members were listening to his sermon.  This was encouragement to him and gave him calmness as he shared God's Word on Sunday morning. Susan shared how we as a team were not here by our own choosing but have been called by God to come here and do God's work as a team.  Susan shared how she was encouraged on how they all meshed together as one team.  David shared this was his first time flying and how his team members encouraged him on the flight down to Honduras.  Joanne shared how she felt she was not strong in sharing God' Word to others and how this team this week has encouraged her in many ways to dig deeper into God's Word and God will take care of the rest
