Worship Service and A Treat

What an amazing week in the community called Orocuna.  God was so good as to keep everyone healthy and full of strength to carry out their task God had given them.  Now today it was a time of worship and praising God for all His many blessings.
First of all Pastor Hector had us all get out of our seats and greet each other individually.  Pastor Hector had made a home visit this week and a man by the name of Malesto came to church this Sunday morning to worship with us.  Malesto shared his testimony of how blessed he was the pastor came to visit him and invite him to church and he promised Pastor Hector he would be there. He shared he kept his promise to God first to be in His House and worship amongst the people of Orocuna. Maelsto said Pastor Hector spent a lot of time sharing with him about the Word of God.  Malesto shared the next time he came to church he will be bring his wife.  He shared how a lot of folks my talk about him a sinner, a drunk coming to church but we are all sinners saved by God's grace.  Praise God He forgives us of our sins.  There was one man who rededicated his life to Christ this week named Santos Noah and a lady of the church as well.  Pastor Hector asked Mike and Ginger to come and pray over them.
The team got up to sing "God is so good."
Pastor Richard came forward to share the Word of God to the people out of Psalm 111:10.  First of all he thanked everyone for having the team this week and thanked them for their hospitality towards all of them.  He shared how most gracious you all were to each of us.  As Pastor Richard first read the scripture then he shared how he was going to focus on one word in this scripture, fear.  This is not a fear of snakes, scorpions or tarantulas he will share about today but the fear and respect we all as Christians have to our Lord and Savior, Our Heavenly Father.  You see everything we have is God's to start with.  Everything on this entire earth belongs to God.  He can choose to do what He wants to with all of it.  But as believers we do not have that respect for our Heavenly Father.  This is the beginning of wisdom is to respect our Heavenly Father and also as we respect our earthly fathers.  Our earthly fathers taught us how to do things and for the most part we showed our earthly fathers with upmost respect. Pastor Richard asked a question to the congregation.  What is wisdom?  Some said to get to a solution to a problem.  One person shared wisdom was God's Word.  Wisdom is the use of knowledge.  Pastor Richard used the example of how we were taught not to put our hand into a fire why because it will burn.  This is head knowledge.  But spiritual knowledge the wisdom of God comes from God's Word.  Heaven is a very real place and beautiful and hell is also a very real place and very hot.  We have to choose where we want to go when we die, heaven or hell.  If we chose God there is wisdom on how to get to Heaven.  But if we don't choose God our entire body will go into the fire for eternity.  Having this knowledge is great but it is our choice where we go when we die.  Pastor Hector preaches the Word in this church, you all hear it weekly.  The wisdom I am talking about is taught right here in this church weekly.  Pastor Richard continuously  being in God's Word is like a cow chewing his cud.  You read and study a while then you go out and do something with it and go back and study some more.  Practice makes perfect when sharing the gospel.  And our actions should say that we are Christians.  We as Christians should respect this most Holy Place, this is God's temple and we should treat it with upmost respect.  As I shared sharing the gospel takes time and practice.  Holly, my wife made her third trip here this year and got to for the first time bring someone to Jesus Christ.  It took lot of studying and praying and preparing on Holly's part to be obedient to God in bringing a lost soul to eternal life. If you are sitting here today and confess to be a Christian you should be out daily sharing the gospel with this community.  Not just this week but every day if you love Jesus tell others about His great love for you so they in turn can have the greatest gift of all eternity.  Put on your full armor of God and go out there and win the lost to Christ.  If you have on the full armor of God the devil cannot win the battle.  If you are truly a Christian are you doing what you are suppose to be doing.  It is not an option to share the gospel it is required of us as followers of Jesus to bring the lost to Christ.  If you are here today and you are not sure about your eternal home please see the pastor and receive the greatest gift of all Jesus Christ.  Pastor Richard closed us in prayer.  Brother Edward led us in a beautiful hymn.  Pastor Hector thanked us for coming and walking the streets of Orocuna and La Gaza with their church family.  At this time the children came out to share what they had learned in Sunday School.
We closed out our time with these beautiful people with a juicy slice of watermelon.  There was enough watermelon for all of us to have a slice.  The children got real excited to get this delicious piece of fruit.  God's provision is always perfect timing.  Thank you Forest City Baptist Church for being the hands and feet of Jesus this week.
