Evangelizing in Orocuna and La Gaza

As the team disbursed out into the community of Orocuna they had many a stories to tell at the end of their day.  Bobby and Pastor Wayne ended up in a rehab center one day where they shared the gospel with the doctor, the nurse and the patients.  The nurse asked for specific prayers for her health, she struggles with reflux.  Holly and Richard were able to share the gospel with a family of five Catholics who all received Christ.  This family made their living by making hammocks. Richard shared how it took them two days to make one hammock.  The entire family was in this business together, even their children. Pastor Wayne and Bobby shared how many folks wanted them to pray over their physical needs and they had quiet a few rededications.  Ronny shared how this community was very profound Catholic.  They would share with each team how they go to church and they work very hard but they would not say they had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  They would look to Hail Mary for their needs to be met.  Ronny, translator shared with them that that church is just a building and it can easily be shut down and make into a restaurant the next day.  So don't say you go to church that will not get you into Heaven.  Brad has shared several times this week to the Catholic community if you have been saved by the blood of Jesus that is all you need to do.  There is not anything you can do to earn your way into Heaven.  Simply ask forgiveness of your sins and turn your life over to God through His Son Jesus Christ.

Pastor Wayne and Bobby were visiting a couple whose wife teaches a Bible Study in her home. The entire family goes to church except for the husband and father of the children.  This man told Bobby he enjoyed listening to his wife teach God's Word but just wouldn't go to church with other fellow believers.  Pastor Wayne and Bobby had the opportunity to enter a lady's home with Ronny of course and she was very hesitate about them visiting her and they later found out she ran a bar in the back of her home and at that time there was a bunch of drinking customers in the back of her house which is a bar.  Bobby and Pastor Wayne shared their visit was probably bad for business.  But guess what those folks back in the back drinking their beer heard God's Word that day.  To God be the glory amen y amen!!!!!
While out on the first day Richard Holly and Meida along with some church members made their first stop at a home and they shared and planted the seeds but there was not fruit produced.  Later that day they came back heading to the church and passed by the house again and saw Julie and Brad over there visiting this same family.  Well praise God for Richard and Holly with Meida visiting earlier that day because by the end of the day this family was ready to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  There was several Meida shared with me that would not listen to Richard and Holly and what they had to say.  I asked Meida what did ya'll do.  Meida we dusted the dust off our feet and moved on.  They heard it and now it is up to them to do what they want to with it.  Grateful to Richard and Holly for making wise decisions and not forcing it down their throats so to speak.  They planted the seeds and hopefully one day their words will come back to these people and they will receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
By the end of this week there were numerous rededications and many folks being prayed over.  There were mucho salvations along with many folks receiving Bibles for the first time..  A lot of Catholics gave up their lifestyle of ritual religion and decided to follow Jesus, no turning back no turning back.
Pastor Wayne shared out of Psalm 89 "I will sing of the mercy of the Lord forever."  We are to trust in the Lord always.  Man will disappoint us and religion will fail us.  But God's grace and mercy will always take care of us .  God is sovereign. God is on time. We as Christians need to be more faithful and more discipline in our time in His Word and live out our lives as believers in Christ.  Pastor Wayne said in VBS one day all I can do for others is live out my life for Jesus and they see Jesus in my life.  This week this team had some trials with folks and all their excuses of why they don't need Jesus or to go to church.  This team simply prayed over them if they were allowed to then or they shared they will continue to pray for them and prayerfully they one day will accept the greatest gift of all Jesus Christ.
