The cornerstone (or foundation stone or setting stone) is the first stone set in the construction of a masonry foundation, important since all other stones will be set in reference to this stone, thus determining the position of the entire structure. In the construction of a Honduran home there is four cornerstones which have to be leveled up so as the definition describes will determine the position of the entire structure. Pastor Carlos, Mike and Tino along with Mike, team member worked on the four cornerstones using a hose to funnel water through to level each corner to perfection. Pastor Carlos marks each metal post holding up the cornerstone with a red pencil for leveling purposes. This entire home's secure and solid foundation all lies on the accuracy of the cornerstones. Jesus Christ is our cornerstone whom we build our strength from on a daily basis. Our foundation in Jesus Christ depends solely on us and our obedience to Him and HIs Word which is our tool for leveling out our lives to perfection. We have to be grounded in the Word to have a life worthy of the calling in Jesus Christ. So as we build our relationship with Jesus Christ as our Cornerstone, our Solid Rock, our mighty Fortress we will always have a solid, secure and safe life if we only believe in Him. Will he be a easy life? No, not always. But if we are grounded on the Cornerstone of our lives as Christian, He will see us through all the journeys of our lives.
