Marbles

This was the most awesome part of the day.  We were a mud house go up but out in the street there was a marble game going down.  These little men take their marble games very seriously. We stood back trying to learn the rules of the game. Because there are rules of the game of marbles.  We were surprised how very well they played together, sharing their marbles with each other and letting the adults learn how to play marbles with them. It is a shame how the game of marbles has become obsolete back home for our boys and girls.  This was a time where the children were being children.  They were not on any technology, but outside getting fresh air and dirty too in the dirt.  God provides us with the fresh air daily and the dirt to play and get dirty once in a while. This was just so sweet to see a simple game of marble become a street performance and the most sweetest part of it all these Honduran children were just being themselves.  This is what they enjoy doing on a daily basis.  We saw this throughout the week as well as the boys worked well side by side because they talk with each other, they hang out together in the neighborhood and by all means play marbles together.  Thank you God for the simplicity of life.  There is a lot to say for simplicity.
