Four Full Days of VBS

Thank you to Debbie our first time team member to Honduras and her mother, Barbara who went to extreme efforts to make VBS for the children of Las Pradas over the top awesome.  Debbie shared with me how her mother, Barbara and herself worked together to put each day into place.  Folks these two ladies did just that.  First of all what a gift it is to be able to do this as a mother and daughter.  They got together prepared, planned and prayed over this week's VBS.  This in itself is special to me.  You are both blessed Debbie and Barbara to have such a godly relationship together.
Then along came Ms. Katy who added so much to this week in VBS.  The one day I got to go and have fun with the ladies I observed Katy as the VBS greeter.  She spoke to every child or teenager who entered the doors of the church. Katy definitely made you feel welcome if you go to this church or not.  Her smile radiated the entire event.  Her joy for Jesus was evident in her actions.  It is would not even be complete without Debbie's husband David who went all four days with her to VBS.  He was right by her side each day doing whatever she needed to make each day run smoothly.  The day I was there David and Joe put the salvation bracelets together for the children.  They were steadily busy. Each day a different gentleman would get the special treat of going to VBS to help Debbie and Katy. Thank you gentlemen for your hard work to make this an amazing week for the children.
Debbie did several different stories for the children.  Zaccheus, Jesus Fed the 5000, The Creation Story, The Salvation Story, David and Goliath and Daniel and the Lion's Den.  Each day Meida started out with singing, Katy opened up the time in prayer once most of the children arrived.  They would break up into groups if there was a craft involved.  Some would do a coloring while others made the craft.  But the day I was there they did a Creation Booklet where they colored each of the seven days.  Each page was done in Spanish so the children could read it and enjoy this for many years to come.  Thank you so much Debbie for letting God use you in such a mighty way this week for the children of Las Pradas 2.
