Our Amazing New and Old Friends

God blessed us immediately with sweet people.  The family we were building the home for, our staff who watched our backs the whole week at times we did not even know it and of course the children.  David shared one afternoon sitting around the pulperia de Mt. Horeb what beautiful people they were inside and outside.  Their huge brown eyes with their huge giving hearts.  They were so generous to us as strangers coming into their country and gave to us as if we were family.  This is the Honduran hospitality we witness each week here in Honduras.  They know their own neighbors and they are willing to bring out their chairs for complete strangers who came to help built them a home.  My God moment the first day was watching Meida watch Todd as he went to the bus to get something he needed.  She actually later walked over there near the bus talking to the people standing around the bus which we did not know.  Todd wondered why Meida followed him.  Meida was simply doing more than her job as translator, she was watching out for her new friends and family. Tino as well behind those dark sunglasses he was observant of their surroundings while the North Americans were busy at work.  This is a new location for us and we always take extreme caution for our North American families who we have come to love deeply through this ministry. Tino and Meida are our angels each week.
