Home Dedication

Thank you Ray for leading by example this week.  As Ray shared for me and my house we will serve the Lord could not have been better fit for Ezekiel and his family.  Ezekiel leads his family by having them in church with him weekly, nightly even.  He leads music in church.  But more than all of this he is a godly man who knows His Lord personally and his family sees this daily.

Steve shared the family bible with Ezekiel along with a prayer cloth. Steve shared the Bible would be the guidelines for leading his family in a godly home.  Steve shared how the ladies of the church made the prayer cloth and prayed for everyone involved this week.  So even back home this team was covered in prayer.  Pastor Carlos and Ezekiel both shared how this was a long time coming.  How they had worked so hard on getting the foundation completed even to the point of working on it in the evening.  Ezekiel was grateful to everyone who made this possible.  But first and foremost he gave God all the praise and honor, as he should.  We should always give God complete credit for any and everything in our lives.  This was another lesson learned this week.  Grateful for all things because God gave it to us to start with.

Mike gave the key after he shared what a honor and priviledge to serve by each person standing hre today.  How we all worked together for the Lord to make this day happen. Honestly I cannot remember all Mike said because I could not stop crying to hear his words of compassion through his tears.  What a humbling moment to see a man of God praising HIM through floods of tears.  As the lady who helped on the floor she looked with puzzlement because it is seldom you see men cry in Honduras.  Ezekiel shed tears on the first day and Mike closed out the week with even more tears. These tears were tears of joy in what God had accomplished this week by using all of us.  This team was truly the hands and feet of Jesus.

And the tears continue to flow.  Burt had carved out a wooden cross at home before coming to Honduras.  He asked permission from me if he could present it to the family on the day of the dedication.  Burt handed the cross to them and looked at Carla and asked her where she wanted it hung.  Carla looked at Ezekiel and they both agreed on a spot in their new home. Juan David was standing right there with Burt as he hammered the nail into the concrete wall.  What a beautiful way to end a home dedication.  Thank you Burt for your servant's heart.
