Let The Work Begin

This tight little spot became our home for the week.  Everyone pitched in to help unload the Kia and trying to find a home for all the supplies needed for the week. Everyone was working at their best in very heated temperatures but was ready to serve their Lord.  Unity began very quickly for this team.  There was 12 folks on this team, two were returnees but the other ten were new to this culture and also somewhat new to each other.  They are all from the same church but go to different small groups, etc.  But this week this group of 12 became a family and made memories no one can take from them.  What a family network we had here this week.

They started mixing mescal for the first block.  They all pitched in to help mix the mortar.  As you can see Bert was putting water in the pile with a small bucket from the family.  We forgot our buckets.  So Mike and I ran down to the local hardware store to buy buckets for the week. Everyone learned how to mix mescal that week as well.  They did not have a lot of Honduran help because of this being a sister church and a new church plant.  But this did not stop the North Americans everyone pitched in where needed.

Pastor Carlos got busy with the four corners.  Laying out the plumb line leveling the courses for construction.  Team members jumped on board and all worked beside Pastor Carlos as they placed each cornerstone in place to build up a solid foundation for the Perez family.  There was one corner that was a little difficult but it finally got put into place perfectly for the first block.  Well done good and faithful servants.
