Cornhole Championship

All good this must come to an end.  The team spent Sunday afternoon up on the rock watching the sunset before our last dinner together which was sandwiches if you wanted one.  We gathered up on the multi purpose porch for a corn hole tournament.  I truly believe in the end the Hondurans were the winners.  They were accused of playing corn hole and not working because they were so good.  Fernando stayed with a few of them long into the evening as some of parted our ways to prepare for the long day to come, going back home.  Thank you Catalyst Church for all you did this week to glorify God's kingdom work.
Just a few little blessings for me this week were when Mike, the team leader shared that evening about how the children cried when the team left them, not because of stuff they gave them because this team did not hand out anything, not even one of their snacks they were eating.  These little ones cried because this team loved them with true AGAPE love.  God's love, not because of anything they gave them, all they gave this little ones was their love of Jesus by a hug or one of those famous hand games they made up on one of the many rocks on the project. Not because of stuff. The truth here is we can love unconditionally without any material handout.  What a concept to take away from this week.  Thank you team leader, Mike who shared this more eloquently than how I just did.  This children loved these people because they loved them unconditionally.  One little boy was looking for Tom the next day, Tom unfortunately got sick so could not go the second day.  Tom made such an impact on this child simply by teaching him English as this little boy taught him Spanish.  Did Tom give him anything, yes he gave him his time.  Tom spent time with this child and made him feel important.  Chris and his mission rock. Chris shared he was not in the construction business but he surely was in the children business.  They gathered around him on this rock we named the mission rock and each day they set up there and played hand games for at least an hour.  Did Chris give them anything, yes he did.  Chris gave them his time, time and love and laughter.  This was seen throughout the whole week.  It was beautiful watching this week unfold to so many God moments we cannot begin to share them all.  God is good all the time and all the time God is good.
