Welcome Buddy and Donna

Or first time visitors to Honduras, welcome Buddy and his lovely wife Donna.  They had always wanted to do a mission trip together and when this one came available to them they said, "Let's do it". An that is just what they need.  Buddy and Donna both shared how they love to serve others.  Their home is always open for those who are in need.  So this was just right to be here this week building this precious family a home where they will always be dry and safe from the elements of this earth.  They both put their entire being into this week, working beside their team to completion of this house becoming a home.  They took amazing care of each other because it did get quiet hot where they were working but they were always there for each other and their team mates as well.  Donna helped orchestrate VBS each day along side of Chris.  Ginger got the opportunity to get to know Buddy one afternoon inside the home of Cindi.  We watched Marie Elena showing her grandmother her school work.  Her grandmother drove up on a bus two hours away to be there to watch her daughter and grandchildren receive their home.  Buddy and Ginger discussed how dedicated this family was to one another and how at any lengths they would go to in order to support one another. Buddy and Ginger learned a new word in Spanish "sapo" which is frog.  It took Marie Elena a few minutes and a lot of sign language for Ginger to totally understand it was frog.  After a few pages over there was a picture of a frog and the word sapo next to it.  Ginger looked and Buddy and said she thought it was frog.  There is so much to learn each day in this beautiful place called Honduras.  Thank you so much Buddy and Donna for coming to share in this week with all of us.
