Was It Hot?

Sadly Doug and Jon did not get the full Honduran experience.  The temperature was absolutely perfect for this team of seven.  They got out their first five courses done in due time as they worked side by side and learned how to lay block Honduran style.  Doug is a construction guy by career but he shared several times it was a blessing to learn how to do it a new way.  We want to say thank you Doug for being flexible in learning a new way to lay block and how we all learn through the years it is just as beneficial as the way North Americans do it.  The team arrived the first day to Marie's neighbors who were digging a whole for a well.  These men have been digging this well by hand for thirty plus days.  Doug took some rope to measure how deep the hole was and it was twenty eight feet deep.  Rudy needed dirt to fill in his foundation and there at the bottom of the hill in the road was a whole pile of dirt which came out of the hole they were digging for a well.  So Mike decided to gather everyone around the circle of the hole and pray for water to strike for this village.  We hope to hear soon they have received water.  What diligence these men had to get up each morning and head to the hole and dig in hopes of water.  There is not any water on either of the properties.  Rudy had to buy his water to mix mescal and for Hilsi's family to have water for every day purposes.  What we all take for granted, running water right out of our faucets whenever we want it.  But because of the dirt from the well Rudy did not have to pay for sand to be hauled in.  Thank you God for this small blessing Amanda shared as she was filling the buckets full of sand for the foundation to be built up.  All good things work together for the good of those who serve their Lord.
